La cei 79 de ani ai sai, Clint Eastwood este o legenda vie a Hollywood-ului, un actor si un regizor extraordinar, care nu da deloc semne ca ar fi obosit. Dupa cum era de asteptat, in spatele unui om mare se pot ascunde multe lucruri interesante, iar cu toate ca protagonistul unor filme memorabile ca Dirty Harry, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, Unforgiven sau Gran Torino pare sa nu mai aiba demult secrete fata de noi, sunt totusi niste lucruri pe care nu toti le stim despre el.

Nu-mi sta in obicei sa parasesc filmele inainte de finish, oricat de slabe s-ar dovedi. Insa filmul de fata intrece orice imaginatie. Este rusinos de prost, de penibil, de infect.

Credeam ca cineva a incercat sa copieze “American Pie” si a creat un scenariu cunoscut – doi martalogi virgini incearca sa-si rezolve problema si dupa ceva aventuri reusesc sa scape de povara. Stiti, acele filme usoare cu adolescenti care fac timpul sa treaca mai usor mai ales ca se asezoneaza cu sani din belsug. Ei, astia de se ocupara de “Sex Pot” nici macar atata lucru nu au reusit sa faca.

Cum deja cunosteam povestea nu asteptam mari suprize de la a nu stiu cata varianta de ecranizare a scrierii lui Charles Dickens. Mai mult, un prieten care l-a vizionat inaintea mea nu mi l-a recomandat ca un film stralucit. Incapatanarea imi este caracteristica, de aceea va spun sincer ca, in drum spre cinema, ma gandeam doar ca exista un Jim Carrey extrem de talentat care intotdeauna aduce un suflu nou oricarui personaj. Sa reuseasca el acelasi lucru cu Scrooge? Surpriza, da! Si, precum asta nu ar fi fost suficient, Robert Zemeckis se da si el peste cap si farmeca auditoriul in aceasta incursiune 3D in Londra anilor 1840. Astfel suntem martorii revitalizarii povestii lui Ebenezer Scrooge, un batran uracios, lacom si rau pana in maduva oaselor care este supus schimbarii prin intermediul unor vizite inopinate.
